I have been a seasoned and valued business adviser and executive coach to numerous leaders in businesses over the course of a career in organisations such as the BBC and PWC where I was a HR Director, as well as facilitating mastermind groups for CEOs of SMEs, the Academy for Chief Executives, and Vistage.
I offer well-being programmes, retreats and executive coaching for senior executives and their teams which focus on purpose, direction and well-being to enable them to continue to be successful.
Those who are jaded, exhausted, and ground down by the unrelenting pressure we’ve experienced since the pandemic.
Those who have come to a crossroad perhaps through needing a career change, redundancy, a mid-life crisis, a bereavement or coming up to retirement.
Those who are burnt out, know it, and that they need to do something about it
I have built a career in strategy focused senior leadership development, transformation consultancy and programme management with acclaimed results with clients such as Legal and General, CS2, NHS London and Defence Scientific Technical Laboratory (DSTL). I am a thought leader with a collaborative and facilitative management style reporting at the Board level.
I work with people who want to live consciously, with purpose, who take wellbeing seriously, people who will support, encourage and challenge each other to go further, who want to invest in their personal growth and development, recognising that this will have positive spin-offs for their business, families, relationships and health.
I create an environment which involves:
Offering a framework of structured activities to enable people to reflect, ask themselves questions about their lives, whether they are getting all that they would wish for and planning their next chapter.
Working in small groups, enabling a sense of shared experience and community.
Complete confidentiality.
The pandemic brought about an enormous awareness of the need for physical wellness and with that, a broadening out to wellbeing, a holistic approach encompassing mental and emotional health. What has come with that is greater numbers of people searching for opportunities for personal growth, community and shared experiences.
My central belief is that we all need:
It’s the foundation and building block of our lives. It gives meaning and significance. Without that we drift and lose focus and direction.
We all individually have to take personal responsibility for our own lives and decide how we want to live.
To take a holistic approach to our personal wellbeing which encompasses the physical, mental, and emotional.
I speak on ‘Finding your Ikigai’, a Japanese concept from the island of Okinawa where lots of people live to be a hundred. What enables them to live a long, happy, healthy, productive life is something in their lives which provides purpose, such as a hobby or a relationship.
This diagram helpful acts as a map, showing where someone’s life has been pulled out of shape or become unbalanced. The aim is for everyone to find their Ikigai, their own sense of purpose, what gets them out of bed in the morning, what brings them joy.
Having done that, the question is, what do you want to do with it? There is an enormous focus on wellbeing at the moment, but the underlying question is, why is that important? Why do you want to invest in your wellbeing? What do you want to achieve? How do you define success?
